Yunnan’s Fabulous Golden Triangle

Duration: 10 Nights & 11 Days

Overview

Discover the Yunnan’s wild corner along the Yangtze and the Mekong rivers

Kunming – Lijiang – Zhongdian – Deqin –Weixi – Liming - Lijiang

This beautiful tour takes us to the heartland of Three Parallel Rivers conservation areas, included both Yunnan's most scenic spots and pretty much unexplored nodes. The region, still largely wilderness, is sliced by the Yangtze (Jinshajiang River) and the Mekong (Lancangjiang River), in form of splendour land almost as a huge triangle by gazing at the map at the northernmost Yunnan. If ‘diversity’ is the best description for Yunnan province, then ‘coexistence’ should be the right word for this area that you will witness many incredible co-existed occasions during the trip. Scenery dramatically changes, mingling with verdant valleys to snow-capped mountains, rigorous glaciers along raging rivers, barley farms to vineyard, red cliff landforms and fragrant forests, it’s gorgeous almost at every turn-off the way. The richly plants and animals are a vital part of the region’s ecosystem, protected in reserves. Each of its main geographical regions is dominated by the lifestyle and culture of an ethnic minority as the majority, included Naxi, Tibetan, Yi, Lisu and Pumi, but they have largely adopted the cultural characteristics mutually. Some Tibetans have converted to Christianity from Buddhism through generations, while some Naxi already become the monks in Tibetan lamasery. Locals have lived by their own comfort but harmonious way retained for centuries. This is the great insights to the blend of the natures, wildlife, cultures and traditions that exist in this unparalleled part.
