Gongga Mountain


Gonga Mountain, also called Minyak Gongga, means the white and snow-capped mountain in Tibetan language. Stands on the borders of Kangding, Luding and Jiulong counties in western Sichuan at 7,556 meters above the sea level, it is regarded as the ‘King Mountain of Sichuan’.

It is the highest mountain in Sichuan and the 11th highest mountain in the world. There are more than 20 peaks over 6,000 meters and some 45 glaciers around this mighty peak.
