Leshan Giant Buddha

Overwhelming 71m in height, the Leshan Giant Buddha is a tall stone statue built during the Tang Dynasty since 713. It was spent 90 years to be completed and is carved into a cliff overlooking the confluence of Dadu, Qingyi and Min rivers.

The stone sculpture faces Mount Emei, with the rivers flowing below his feet. It is the largest stone Buddha in the world.
