Chamdrok Monastery
Located beside the road on the east bank of the Yarlung Tsangpo River in the Nedong County, the Chamdrok Monastery was first built in the 7th century, which had undergone renovations in all dynasties.
According to a legend, after Songtsen Gampo had set up capital in Lhoka, he often brought Princess Wencheng to live here. The willow trees surrounding the monastery are said to have planted by Princess Wencheng. A precious pearl Thangka on which the Buddha’s image was completely linked up the pears together with gems belongs to the rare art treasure.
