Jianshui Confucian Temple
Jianshui Confucian Temple is located in the western of Jianshui County. It is the biggest temple in Yunnan Province, and also the second largest one nest to the Qufu Confucius temple in Shandong Province.
It is recorded that the Jianshui Confucius Temple was built in 1285 in the Yuan dynasty, the temple with a 710 year history was expanded by imitating the one in Qufu of Shandong province during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The temple covers an area of 114 acres and is know for its interesting design and well-preserved construction with the complex includes a main hall, two side - halls, three pavilions, four gates, five clan halls and eight memorial archways, all of which are kept in good and splendid.
