With 6,200 meters altitude of snowline, Mt. Everest appears in an image of huge Pyramid. Among many continent glaciers located among Qomolangma Mountain ranges, the largest is Rongbuk Glacier, which spans 26 kilometers long. Due to the natural trait of glacier’s expanding, Rongbuk Glacier forms a ladder from up to bottom. It has various but magnificent seracs, icicle cliffs approaching several thousand meters, visible and hidden ice crannies and dangerous icefall and avalanche zones. But it is not so breathtaking if you have been trekking in snowland and follow with our experienced trekking guide.
Basically you will start trekking from Rongbuk Monastery and trek northward to the summit of Rongbuk Glacier which is 4,800 meters above the sea level, then, trek along the flank of Rongbuk Glacier to the connection of West Rongbuk Glacier and Middle Rongbuk Glacier where is 6,200 meters above sea level. End the trekking there.
