Xishuangbanna, borders closely on tropical climate, is one of the China’s finest botanical garden. The spread of vast and verdant world is of tremendous vigor that arouses sense of hikes. Straddled Mekong River and nestled southwest Kunming along the Burmese and Laotian borders, Xishuangbanna presents us its enchanting beauties of primeval forests, rare plants and wildlife, awe-inspiring paddy fields and Hinayana Buddhist temples, peppered with villages of Dai, Hani, Bulang, Jinuo, Wa and Lahu. Our delightful trekking tour around Xishuangbanna takes you to explore the region’s abundances in cultural experiences and fascinating natural landscape, as well as the friendly diverse ethnic people. During this easy but lovely treks, enjoy the epic views tramping through the rugged tea mountains, fragrance filled tropical garden, rice fields and stunning valleys. The selected trekking trails lead a beautiful walk to the minority villages. Meet Dai, Bulang, Aini people and spend nights in local bamboo stilt houses to witness their daily life and colourful customs. Some interesting produces are special arranged to visit including pottery make, tea making and paper making, most of them are still hand-made in ancient traditions. This complex and exhilarating juggle trek is a comfortable tour for average hikers from teenager to senior and is a full-on excursion interior to hidden Xishuangbanna.

Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Jinghong
Airport pick-up. Later have a visit to a Dai ceramic family and traditional weaving.
Day 2: Menglun Garden Walking
Takes about 1.5 hours driving to Menglun from Jinghong. Walking around the big tropical botanical garden in Menglun, where also offers good opportunities for birdwatching.
Day 03: Xishuangbanna Trekking
Today takes 2 hours downhill easy trekking to see a 800 years old tea tree in Nannuoshang Mountain, whilst taste the fragrant Pu’er tea. You also have chance to visit a Pu’er tea processing factory that you can get more knowledge about tea making.
Day 04: Xishuangbanna Trekking
Takes around 2 or 3 hours to trek through ethnic villages of Bulang and Aini with beautiful views. After lunch, walk around a Dai village where visit a workshop processing paper from the tree barks.
Day 05: Xishuangbanna Trekking
Morning go to the Thursday market to see colourful Aini, Bulang and Dai ethnic hilltribes. Afterwards trek through Aini and Bulang ethnic villages with nice landscape. Overnight in a Bulang village with a spectacular view of the lush valley.
Day 06: Xishuangbanna Trekking
Today takes around 4-6 hours trek through the cultivated tea and sugarcane plantations. Stop at a hot spring for relax on the way back to Jinghong.
Day 07: Jinghong Departure
Transfer to the airport according to the flight schedule.
